Habagat - Monsoon Disaster

August 7 - 8:31pm (Doha, Qatar Time)

I have been monitoring the weather via government tweets and facebook walls of my colleagues back home. at the same time retweeting it back to my wall. I have been there from start to finish, It was another devastating blow that hit the NCR area hard on the face.

According to PAGASA, it poured more rains than ondoy, it's more devastating than a category 5 typhoon. (Flooding aspect)

All I can do is to retweet, repost all information that I can relay, to my civilian friends and colleagues.

I wish, I was there with my brother doing what I love to do, SAR Ops, rescuing others.

This happened after a typhoon pounded central luzon and dump all the garbage in manila bay, As if our mother nature has a master plan. As our Government and Non-government prepare for a clean-up drive after that storm, The rain started to pour hard and non-stop that night, So all the garbage that was washed out the day before had found a way to come back. As we say it in tagalog, "Basurang itinapon mu, babalik din sayo" "The trash you throw will find its way to come back to you" and indeed, It is true.

Unless we learn to segregate our trash, this will happen time and time again. We need stricter rules and laws, environmental laws must be focused to avoid or at least reduce the effect of disasters.
